The House
Centrally located in the Victorian High Country, Black & Bright is a two-bedroom semi-detached home in the heart of the Alpine region. It has a private entrance and is separate and private from the neighbouring house. With a modern eclectic take on early Australian pioneers, gold diggers, and huntsmen, it offers a unique and stylish getaway—ideal for two couples—in the gorgeous town of Bright.
The home is a single-level black corrugated steel and brick house with a cosy interior, featuring a soaring timber-lined wall and a peaked ceiling. It includes a modern fireplace for those cold wintry alpine days. Full of collectibles and curated interiors, she’s a warm, contemporary space looking out onto the Great Alpine Road and the surrounding hills in all their seasonal glory.
In the warmer months, at the end of the lane you’ll find a perfect lagoon to swim and raft in, along with access to the historical gold mining Canyon Walk.
The mighty Ovens River is just a 300m walk down hill from the house. The center of Bright is 1km from the house—their are pathways along the river and the road.

Security Cameras
For everyone’s safety and peace of mind, there are security cameras on the exterior of the property only. These are positioned in clearly visible areas (front door, back door, and driveway) to help protect the home and ensure a safe environment for all guests.
There are absolutely no cameras inside the house or in any private areas. We take your privacy seriously and comply fully with Airbnb’s policies regarding surveillance.

The house is equipped with Wi-Fi, smoke alarms, and a fire extinguisher.
The property is fully single level—no stairs inside. Note that their is one step to get into all doors.
